Samsung Confirms Galaxy Unpacked for July 22 in London, and Preorder Savings Are Already Live
Samsung has officially set the date for its summer Galaxy Unpacked event: July 22, 2026, marking the first time the company is hosting a summer Unpacked in London rather than South Korea or the United States.
The livestream kicks off at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. BST, and Samsung is already rewarding early sign-ups with reservation credit before a single device has been formally unveiled.
A Reservation Deal Before the Reveal
Samsung has opened its pre-reserve program, letting anyone register interest at no cost in exchange for a $30 Samsung credit applicable toward a future preorder.
Combined with eligible trade-in offers, Samsung says total savings could reach up to $1,230 depending on the device and trade-in condition, as Android Authority notes.
The company is also running a sweepstakes offering ten winners a $500 Samsung.com gift card. It’s a familiar playbook Samsung uses before every Unpacked, but claiming the credit now costs nothing and stacks with any trade-in deal available on launch day.
This year’s early incentives feel especially valuable as reports point to higher prices across upcoming Galaxy smartwatches and foldables due to rising component and memory costs.
What Samsung Is Teasing
Samsung’s own announcement leaned into foldables specifically, promising devices that combine intelligent capabilities with new form factors to deliver more personal, adaptive experiences.
The accompanying teaser video shows a ticket-like graphic tearing to reveal a shorter, wider silhouette than Samsung’s current Galaxy Z Fold shape, widely read as confirmation of a new wide-style foldable joining the lineup.
Reports point toward three foldables this cycle, a Galaxy Z Fold 8, a more premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 8, alongside the reported Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 models expected to run on Wear OS with updated health tracking.
Why the London Move and Timing Matter
Choosing London venues signals a deliberate push into European markets, and the July 22 date puts Samsung roughly two months ahead of Apple’s rumored first foldable iPhone, expected around September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
That timing gives Samsung a head start in defining the foldable conversation before Apple enters it directly.
Google is also holding its own Made by Google event on August 12 in New York for the Pixel 11 series, meaning Unpacked lands in a genuinely crowded stretch of major hardware launches this summer.
