Google Launches Android Canary 2603 With Native App Lock Features
Android Canary 2603 just dropped, and it is one of the most feature-packed monthly builds Google has pushed in a long time.
With App Lock, floating bubbles, and the long-awaited return of split Quick Settings tiles, this update is giving Android users a real taste of what Android 17 is shaping up to be.
What Is New in Android Canary 2603?
Google rolled out build ZP11.260220.007 this week alongside the March 2026 security patch. According to Android Authority, the update is already live over the air for Pixel 6 and all newer Pixel devices enrolled in the Canary program.

- Redesigned long-press menu: app shortcuts now live inside a dedicated submenu, making room for the new App Lock and Bubbles options

New users will need to flash it manually via the Android Flash Tool and should always back up their data first, since Canary builds are pre-release and can be unstable for everyday use, much like any other Android beta program.
